Edward 1st walked by in 1298 on his way to “Hammer the Scots” along with many clear records of visits and wanderings by James 1st, Charles 1st stayed for three nights before being imprisoned , Edward VIII came to hunt and James VI Scotland on his way to his coronation as James Ist of England and Union of the Crowns.
